Our philosophy
Our aim at Villa Grimani International School is to:
- develop language skills so that students are fluent in at least English and Italian in order to offer them the best possible future in the wider community.
- enable all pupils to achieve their highest potential and to progress successfully in all subject areas by providing the perfect learning environment in which skills can be nurtured and developed.
- encourage intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and enthusiasm for learning.
- bring together the best teaching methods from various countries and teach students through hands-on experience whenever possible.
- develop appropriate standards of behaviour, respect for authority and others and enable students to become accustomed to community living.
- understand and respect cultural diversity.
- build confidence, self esteem and a strong sense of responsibility.
How to apply
It is possible to enrol your child at Villa Grimani at any point during the academic year providing there are spaces available. Children are accepted from Italian, foreign and international schools. They may be asked to sit an entry test and meet with staff on a few occasions to gage their level of English and to decide in which class they should be placed. Children entering with little or no English are given individual support from our support teachers in and out of the classroom.
