Plastic Clever School

Middle School students have been discussing plastic waste and related problems in science and other subjects since the beginning of term. The ongoing theme has been part of the school’s overall project on pushing for a ‘Plastic Clever School’.

The most memorable day for Middle School students this term was the 28th October when all middle school classes went to Sottomarina (Venice) to pick up plastic rubbish. The students were enthusiastic and very determined to collect plastic but the most remarkable thing was that passers by joined in and helped some of our classes too! We all came back to school tired and satisfied yet equally thoughtful about the damage and plastic that surrounds us.
