Basic principles in the early years
Early childhood is crucial, not only as preparation for the future.
Children's development is global, interconnected, and occurs at different times.
Children learn from every experience, without separating the subjects.
They learn best by doing, playing and talking.
Learning is most effective when it is active, interesting and engaging.
They need time and space for quality work.
We start from what they already know how to do.
Self-confidence and a sense of capability foster learning.
Autonomy grows if they are encouraged to reflect on themselves.
Every child has talents that should be recognized and supported.
Positive relationships with adults and peers are essential.
Clear rules and boundaries provide security.
Appropriate, consistent, and consistent behavior management facilitates rule learning.
The philosophy of the Childhood Center
Early childhood is the foundation upon which children develop for the rest of their lives. At Villa Grimani International School, we believe that the first years of a child's learning experience are crucial to their educational development. We aim to create a positive, caring, fun, active, and stimulating environment where children can feel safe and secure from day one. Through our methods of play, exploration, and experimentation, we provide valuable educational experiences that support, stimulate, and shape children's learning, aiming to foster a growing capacity for understanding, tailored to the diverse needs and aptitudes of each child. All children are offered opportunities for interaction in a wide range of practical and social situations, with the aim of providing a stimulating and well-organized environment.
Together with the support of parents, we aim to play a fundamental role in encouraging and accompanying children in the development of skills, knowledge, and the acquisition of new concepts, with a particular emphasis on the English language.
