Homework
The function of working at home
Homework is a fundamental part of education. The benefits of assigning age- and level-appropriate homework are many:
reinforcement of concepts learned in class
development of the ability to work independently
development of the ability to organize and manage their free time
development of the ability to verify one's own learning
ability to finish unfinished work within the time available in class
Homework is assigned by the teacher for each subject during the week, and a summary of the assignments will be available in all classes so teachers can assess the amount of work assigned by other teachers and thus avoid overloading students. Homework assignments allow teachers to verify that students have understood the concepts covered in class, so it is essential that students always complete their homework; however, teachers will always try to assign the minimum amount of homework whenever possible.
We ask parents to encourage students to carefully complete all homework assignments. Parents should support their children in their studies but not do homework for them.
If students do not complete assigned homework, they will be asked to do so during play time on the day the work was due.
