Relationship with parents
Diaries
Student diaries are used to:
communications between the school and parents
Homework information – Homework is written according to the due date and submitted to the teacher.
Please use your child's diary to communicate with their teachers daily, such as if you pick them up and they don't take the bus home, if they have doctor's appointments during school hours, etc.
The centrality of the parental figure
Parents are the first educators of every child. Therefore, we understand the importance they have in their children's lives and would like to work collaboratively with them, encouraging children to work hard at their studies, encouraged by teachers, parents, and the school itself.
All teachers are available to meet with parents weekly at scheduled times, as are the Principal and the Headteacher. Regular meetings are also held to inform parents about the school program and provide other information.
Please note that parents do not need to be proficient in English for their children to attend our school, nor do children need to be proficient in English when they begin attending Villa Grimani. Supportive English lessons are provided to students entering first grade or higher who have limited or no English skills. Parents are not required to speak or write English to support their children's studies—this is part of our job and the sense of responsibility we will gradually help students develop.
