The display

Recognition of merit and
sense of community
An interesting feature of the British education system is the use of so-called "displays" within classrooms and common areas. Displays also play a vital and important role in the Villa Grimani school environment. Through these displays, we aim to:
*stimulate self-confidence in children
*increase their sense of pride in their work and its exposure
*develop a sense of belonging to the class as a group
*develop a strong sense of belonging to the school community
*stimulate reflection and the ability to discuss topics that involve the classroom, the school, the local area, the country, and the world.
By displaying their work, students feel appreciated by everyone, and this feeling, in turn, allows them to consider themselves important members of their class and the school community. This is just one of the methods teachers use to praise the commitment and academic progress of Villa Grimani students.
